Considering I've been driving for about 20 years, haven't had much and all been rubbish up until now!
1st Vauxhall Astra, the really, really old boxy one, £200 quid at auction, lasted 6 months
2nd Volvo 340 1.4 (C reg) given to me as Astra was rubbish
3rd Volvo 340 1.7 (F reg) all I could afford, lasted until about 10 years ago then blew a gearbox whilst driving it, scrapped
4th Citroen ZX Borrowed off my better half, scrapped to get Freelander 2
5th 2005 Audi A4 1.9 tdi Avant, brilliant car, still got (mine)
6th 2009 Freelander 2 (Technically the wife's) still got, will have to keep for 15 years to make it pay!

08 FL2 TD4 SE Manual in Rimini Red (Now Gone)

last car was an audi a4,3 years old with 60,000 on clock,got rid of 12 YEARS later with 162,000 engine slightly smokey,best car l ever had,NO problems apart from usual (new battery,exhaust,timing belt) NEVER let me down,no unexpected bills,l wonder if l can expect same with the freelander????

actually before the audi l had a reliant scimitar v6 3.0,also a fantastic car,more maintenance obviously,but used as an every day car for quite a few years,EASY to work on,powerfull and comfortable,a trully underated classic,just could not afford to have a fibreglass car properly resprayed (stupid money,but very time consuming),can still be picked up for very reasonable prices,deff recommend
