Briefly had a Honda CRV, impressively good. It replaced a Ford Explorer, which we had for ten years, as we then needed something meaty to tow our two ton racing yacht (International Dragon).

The Explorer was a mighty (and thirsty!) beast that was hugely impressive too. It quietly and efficiently got on with it's job in a most capable way. Towing was comfortable and fast. Cross country was surprisingly good. It also had all the bells and whistles as standard, such as leather, cruise control, AC, heated seats etc.

Current garage, in addition to the FL2 i6, is a 2006 Jaguar XK convertible and a 1972 Lotus Elan Sprint DHC. My ideal line-up!

This is from mid 90s to date, excluding the odd car or two. CRV was good but dropped too low towing, even when loaded correctly.
Freelander 2 is by far the best for our needs, wonderful vehicle!
