Relative poverty restricted me to a 1995 Volvo 440 and before that a whole series of "bangers" which cost so little to buy and run.

The FL2 is the nicest and best car I've ever had.

What was your last motor before a FL2?

I've still got a saab convertible twin turbo diesel and before the FL2 we had another FL2 and before that another saab graced the drive,all in all we are loyal to both brands even tho saab are no more, i've had 6 saabs over the years and had not a moments trouble….but the FL2's have both had new clutches fitted  57 tambora flame SE mud flaps,side strips,twin s/roofs,18"HSE wheels,courtesy lights on w/mirrors

Lovely black Jaguar XJ long wheel base with cream leather, before that Mercedes C Class estate in white. Other car currently MX-5 white with black electric hardtop.

FL2 is best and most practical car I have ever owned - so far. Mine: Freelander 2 HSE, 08. Santorini Black/Alpaca Leather, privacy glass, side steps.

I don't actually have a Freelander yet, but have just ordered a new TD4 GS in Orkney Grey with auto box. My current car is a Jag X-Type which is very nice, but they stopped manufacturing them about three years ago. before that:

2 td5 discoverys, 1 300 series discovery 1 ford maverick 1 series 3 landrover with a perkins 4203 under the bonnet,plus other rubbish over the years and the fl2 is the best of the lot
