England 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 Dynamic Auto Santorini Black
Hello from new member

Hello from first time Land Rover Freelander 2 owner. Not my first experience though as I drove countless military examples in the 1970’s and 1980’s. The FL2 is somewhat more comfortable Laughing .
Only had it a couple of weeks, purchased from a long established village car dealer it’s been back for a few small jobs which have been done under warranty - air conditioning pump, rear door locks, split CV boot. Vehicle came with a puncture repair kit and no spare wheel! Being of a certain age and planning trips to the more remote parts of the UK I have acquired a new LR Jack from 4x4 Land Rover specialist Famous Four at Louth and a wheel wrench on FB market place. I also found a matching alloy wheel and tyre from a second hand wheel trader up near Sheffield who also offered good advice on where to find a spare wheel mounting bolt from. Famous Four also supplied me with a set of side steps which are being fitted next week.
The command driving position is very good. I have moved from a 2005 Mercedes Benz E280CDI, which was no slouch on the road, and the SD4 is not too far of the mark showing it’s tail with pressure on the accelerator - though not as quiet it can make progress and is quite relaxed on a duel carriageway. So far only 969 miles done but using the Road Trip phone app I am averaging 34.72 MPG which equates to 519 miles range in the tank. So far I’m impressed.

Hi, new to the world of the Freelander 2, having spent 5 years owning a VW T5 camper the drive and comfort level is great. FL2 part prices don't look as bad as T5 part prices, fingers 🤞crossed I won't need many 😂.
I'm looking to carry out the 10y service items, any recommendations for an independent in the North West (Burnley)?

I do not get a Bluetooth option on the radio face. We checked all the fuses and the bluetooth set is in the back and have a red light... indicating there is power. It is also slight warm to the touch. See photo. So although everthing and all articles indicate I should have bluetooth my phone does not pick up the Land Rover on the scan. Please help.

Hi.
You don’t need to have the radio set to Aux Input to connect your ‘phone unless you want to play music from it To do that you’ll need a separate Bluetooth transmitter plugged in to the central console either in the cigarette lighter socket or the Jaclyn socket between the seats.

Hi, thanks for the letting me be a member of this group. I have owned Land rover series 1&2 and a three RR classics. Have owned a FL1 for the last seven years and recently upgraded to a 2009 FL2 TD4 auto HSE which I'm loving. This is my first auto Land Rover that I have owned. Looking forward to interaction with members of this site and learn more about the FL2.

New to the Freelander family

Hi all. I have just bought my first Land rover and have plumped for a 2007 Freelander 2 HSE. It is a left hand drive car that has spent the last 8 years in Germany. It has only 67,000 miles on her and yea she has a couple of dinks

that I will be sorting out over the next few months. I look forward to speaking to you more experienced owners soon for advice on repairs and servicing and possible upgrades

I went for a lefty as I will be using her to travel in Europe. I do a lot of work in Poland so seems like an ideal car.
