I don't Plan to use the same dealer that I have purchased the car from ... it's to far from me
so well .. what they don't know won't hurt me ...

if you have the 20's, you can always pop the 18's on if you have an issue

One of the RRSport members got told by LRCS Austrailia that the suspension problem he was having was due to the tyres he had on, which was the same tyres his dealer told him to fit and the same tyres LR used in the G4 Challenges, beggars belief  Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

It's a minefield ... instead of making buying and owning a new vehicle a journey of cosseted sheer pleasure ....... it's turned into a war of wits ....
as the customer you shouldn't have to dot all the i's and cross all the t's ....... the dealer should be on your side instead it's seems that they are to often a wedge between the customer and the manufacturer that shatters the dream  Oi put down that pin!! .... I'm HaPpY in My BuBbLe

I saw this site when researching for my new car.
The best bit of advice that I saw, was to visit more than one dealership.
This I did! Went to the first one. Was not impressed. Made an appointment. no demonstrator available! Plus,all I walked away with was a price scribbled on the front of a price list.
Decided to got to Marshall's in Bedford. The difference was amazing!
The salesman, Martin, was excellent.
So, I placed an order for the Freelander GS 2010 . Santorini black, Napoli seats in ebony, Sunroof, Privacy glass, plus a full size spare wheel.
Delivery due at the end of May.
Now the wait begins

Evening All

Finally took delivery of a new Freelander2 this morning - crappy weather for collection day! So following my other post on here, finally found a FL2 XS in met Black - no other options apart from Mats and Supaguard. The handover was some what stress free compared to the car locating/deal striking process. One small glitch, no black carpet mats in stock - so took the rubber option until those come in, and no Landrover Experience vouchers left in the dealership either - so i'll be chasing that up early next week.

Pleased with the car, coming out of a VW Golf GT 2.0tdi - and the ride quality and engine smoothness have impressed so far too. Looking at this forum, i'm hoping our car has few problems - and therefore limit the interaction with the dealers! - fingers crossed. Its a great small family car, brought it for the other half and we've got a little 1 now, they both seem to love it better than the Golf already - result

Got privacy film being done in a couple of week, agreed a price with a company who do a fair bit for us at work - £100 all done, but he'll only do it when he's onsite doing another vehicle in the fleet. Brought a new full size wheel/tyre of ebay a couple of weeks back - but hadn't envisage not getting a wheel brace and jack! (or am i missing something!) - so we'll be calling Landrover assist for any such problems.

I was looking at the rear interior light - looks the same unit as the front but without the map reading lights. Are these inter-changable? Would be useful to put a rear map reading light on, for our little girl in the back.

Hoping the weather is decent at some point over the BH, so i can give the car a good waash - always the best time to uncover any fault etc.

Hello all, been hanging around here a couple of months and thought i would register. Pretty sure that, subject to test drives of a manual and an auto, both off and on-road, that my next car will be a FL2. Had a RR Classic for 9 years until it was traded in 2 years ago for a FL1 for SWMBD , but am not allowed to drive that !! Miss my RR painfully and and now drive a BMW 320D !! Reckon that a FL2 is about half way between my RR and BMW !! Cheers for now, Pedro.

Another newbie, just thought I'd say hello.

After wanting a LR for about 10 years I finally bought a new Freelander2 in January. Chuffed to bits with it

It's on a 59 plate but I got it in 2010 so not quite sure what to put in my signature?

Ordered a £150 tyre pressure monitoring kit and a land meter / inclinometer this week.
When I can afford it I'd like to get the fuel tank and sump guards, black side tubes, light guards, detachable tow bar and a bike rack...
