2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Santorini Black

Hi All,

after driving a 52 Freelander 1.8 Petrol "Serengetti" special edition for 5 years I have made the jump to a FL2.

It's an 07 SE and I "think" I got a good deal on it, I have a £250 deposit on it and hope to collect it on Friday. It's due a service in 2 months, but he's offered to do one before I collect it (not at a Landrover garage though) Will this invalidate the remaining LR Warranty?

Also, you guys seem like experts here, what should i be looking for when I pick this baby up? I am quite excited, but don't wanna get stung. I think I got a good deal (£3k for mine plus £14,250 for the SE)

Appreciate any guidance,

Great forum BTW, VERY helpful.

WOW...Picked it up today and was a bit worried to be honest. But it drives like a dream and we're so happy with it. Clean, fully loaded with gadgets and just an awesome car. It's been a while since a car made me smile as much as this (It was an S reg Golf GTI that made me smile that much BTW Very Happy )

I will probably pop up asking plenty of questions in the other topics you can be sure of that. I can't get the sat nav to "Nav" yet...I knows where I am, but NOT where I wanna go Sad

Greetings from Chicago!

Just thought I'd introduce myself as I've been lurking for the past couple of weeks.

I'm a Brit that's been living in the US for the past 9 years; we recently got our '09 LR2 HSE after moving from MN to Chicago, downsizing to one car in the process (hers was a Mini, mine a BMW 128i coupe). Managed to get a great deal from the Fields dealer in Milwaukee and we're loving every minute of it - just waiting for the dealer invite to the free off-road event!

This seems like a great forum and I aim to contribute as much as is possible!

Andrew - aka nautilus

I wish!, the dealer had some pretty nice RR's on the floor. City living has us confined to communal parking... at least it's heated & covered though!

Yup, for an ex-service loaner, it's pretty much spec'd exactly as if I were buying it new - Tech, Cold & Lighting packages... and the color of course. Was expecting a little harsher a ride from the 19's but it's soaking up the Chicago pot holes, no problem

GRÜEZI from Kantone Glarus -Switzerland.

I've just registered on the site as I'm expecting delivery of my first Freelander in approximartely 3 weeks time, so I have a request for the admin guys or gals on here: I cannot register my Model or Year or Colour in the profile fields. Crying or Very sad

It is as follows: Model "Newport" - Year "2010" - Colour "Ipanema Sand".

Thanks Thumbs Up

Or Premium, Sport, Plus, or Comfort which are the model names in Norway. My guess is that the old model names they still use in the UK use will soon be replaced anyway Thumbs Up
Newport - thats a novel name and much better than hse, se, e, gs, hst, etc Whistle 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

Re: Hi - And?

Okay CG

This was not easy to do as I had to get hold of UK and CH specs but here goes:

It has everything an "S" model has.

It has everything an "SE" model has - except:
a) the lights for the door opening, foot wells and map reading lamp
b) no special dash furniture in Satin Silver

It has everything an "HSE" has - except:
a) automatic internal rear mirror dim
b) no special dash furniture in Dark Laurel
c) no 6x CD changer

The Newport also (and/or as well as in addition to the above standard "SE" and "HSE") has:
a) DVD Sat Nav
b) Personal Telephone Integration
c) Polished Stainless Steel Tread Plates

Our Newport is in metallic Ipanema Sand with Terracotta leather interior and comes with 17" alloys.

Apologises in advance if I've missed anything or made any spec errors.

Regards.
