2014 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Firenze Red
Hello

Hi all,

I have just signed up to the forum.

I have had Land Rovers for many years including S1, S2, S3, Classic Range Rovers, a Disco 2 V8, 101 Forward Control, Freelander 1 and a 2008 Freelander 2. I am now down to one Series One (1950) and my 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux, both of which I love.

Cheers all.

Thank you RogB for that, have you used either of them? I will give them a call, once I have changed my tyres and have some money saved!
Did not realise that all the tyres need to be changed at the same time - phew! You're not an ex squaddie, you are a veteran.

Thanks for the welcome from you other guys Smile

Whilst that was certainly true for Freelander 1, unless tread wear dictates otherwise, you can change tyres in axle pairs on a Freelander 2. I’d not put new on one end only if the other end was getting near but not quite at end of life but equally, I’d not discard a 5 or 6mm pair simply because the other pair needed changing.

The thing then is to balance the wear… I do mine each summer / winter wheel change. Whatever was on the front the last time the set was on the car goes to the same side rear and the rears to the same side front. That way, I theoretically get maximum life from each set of four and get to fit new tyres in sets of four.

Hello,

After weeks of lurking, finally decided to join the FL2 community.
FL2 owner since 3 weeks, D2 Td5 owner since 4 years (and counting!) Cool
I'm an IT guy with a huge passion for DIY solutions, self servicing all my cars. At least to the sane extent Laughing

Best regards.

Hi all,

Recently purchased my first Land Rover (11 Plate FL2) a couple of months ago. I thought it wise to join the forum and introduce myself as I'm hoping to do as much work on him as I can with my limited knowledge!

So far very much enjoying the experience!

Take care

Hello everyone, just bought a FL2 from a friend, I have quite a bit of homework for this car and that's the reason for my registration, hopefully I find some ideas here.
