I have tried to clean and re paint the front sub frame but without a lift, it is really an impossible job. Fitted chrome scuff plates to all door handles, chrome front spotlight trims along with a new pair of spots. About the last thing has been a black C pillar decal that now gives a total black line through windows, doors, tailgate etc. I love the vehicle and its comfort and ride and versatility - wish I had changed years ago. Now about me - Retired matelot and scenes of crime officer and IT teacher in FE colleges. That’s it and hello!

leatherrepaircompany.com which was simple and easy to complete. Just one note: - it is not a small undertaking - you have to be meticulous and spotlessly clean with each stage. You will have to wear old clothes or a sheet to cover your legs and be ready for gymnastics when you have to get yourself under the wheel to ensure a thorough covering. If you don't rush it you will be left with a showroom finish with enough over to keep for small damage. Hope that helped.

Use to run a 110 but the wife has made me sell it because it’s not right for the family.
The compromise is a FL2.

Hi everyone! New to the site...currently looking for a Freelander 2.

Just wanted to join the club after months of searching for a decent motor to pull our converted RICE horse trailer.

I've driven more cars with whining noises than I care to mention, been promised everything will be sorted for the price only to be told I'd have to contribute to the rear diff repair and finally seem to have an honest SD4 HSE.

Advert popped up on Autotrader late Friday in a Mitsubishi dealer nearby. Rang the next morning to be told it wasn't in yet and I was the third person to call. I mentioned I was interested to know if it had a towbar and was reasonably local and he promised to call me before any of the other callers.

I waited about 20 mins then set off anyway and to be fair he did call to say it had arrived, no towbar. I had nothing better to do so carried on.

Turned out to have roof bars, a LR cycle carrier (which I may sell as I have a towbar carrier and two roof carriers already), dog guard although the previous owner didn't have a dog, a patch of rust on the tailgate, a scratch on the passenger door, parking sensors not working (one obviously faulty) and a faulty rear door lock (which I'm more than familiar with from my Jag) all of which would be fixed.

Solid service history, belt changed, receipts for minor niggles, owner was an organist in a church (can you assume anything from that?), nearly new Pirelli Scorpions all round.

Test drive was fine, not a sound from anywhere (other than the roof bars) and I really did floor it to check for smoke, vibration etc. Surprisingly quick for a big brick of a thing

Doing the paperwork a guy comes in and says 'I phoned about the Freelander earlier'.... Sorry.

Dealer says he's had 4 in since they re-opened after covid, all traded in for Outlander PHEV's (I know, I know.....) and every one of them had been sold within 24 hours.

It may just be a shortage round my way, but I am soooo relieved to have finally got one. And I didn't have to compromise on trim or engine. Maybe price a little but I think I've got a good one.
