Iv'e not come across any Metropolis models with differing spec, I looked at quite a few before pulling the pin and they were all the same spec.

Hello, i'm yellowstilo (Gert) and i just joined today after reading a post from Alex Pescaru on a Russian Land Rover forum - reading and communicating in English is a lot easier so i will continue here....
I do not own a Freelander 2 myself but a Evoque Dynamic 2013 which is based on the Freelander 2 so a lot of technical stuff is basically the same...
At this moment i'm investigating the possiblities regarding the CCF changes, i already changed some settings like KM/L fuel consumption instead of L/100 km and some other minor things but after reading some posts (mainly from Alex) i would like to get some more insight on how to enable changes of "fixed" items by decoding the EXML file and try to understand how changes are made without destroying the car's configuration....
I will do some more reading on this useful forum and hope i can contribute with my (yet rrestricted) Land Rover knowledge....
Have fun, Gert

Yet another new member!

Hi! I'm Rob, have wanted a Range Rover for decades (at least 4), but sensibility suggests that now is the time for a Freelander 2 or a Disco 3 so I have joined both forums so that I can learn, research, and hopefully find a nice car to buy.

Underlying reason for one is a potential house-build project in Scotland, so practicality, versatility, off-road capability and fun are all important. Also heated seats and a towbar... Very Happy

Nice to meet you all, and thanks for all the info!

Hi Folks,

Just joined. My last vehicle was a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 V8, lovely motor drank like a fish Laughing , finally expensively failed it's MOT so had to go.

I'm now looking for a Freelander 2 as a friend who worked for JLR said they were probably the best model they ever produced (probably the Ford influence). So I'm now looking for a good one to buy. The only problem I'm having is that all the ones I like seem to go really quickly.

They are a sought after car, here's about 675 advertised at the moment, just be quick,

PS I think that the late model SD4s are best.

Thanks Ian, I'm concentrating on HSE, HSE Lux, or Metropolis. 2013 or later. I guess it will spend most of its time on the road (although some round here have grass down the middle) but I'd love to do some off roading in it. Neve really got the chance in the Jeep.

Hi all, just following up to say that I bought a 2014 LR FL2 HSE Lux, Firenze red, 80K miles yesterday. So thanks for all the advice. Let's hope it's a good 'un. Drove it 160 miles home last night in the rain and fog and it was great. Look forward to taking part in other parts of the forums later. Cheers.
