I too come with a background in older Landrovers: Discos 200/300/TD5, Defender TD converted to V8 and a couple of S3.

Currently rebuilding an abandoned S3 project - body & chassis etc are excellent but despite being assured that the engine was a "good 'un", it turns out to be very smokey. Not sure what Im going to do with that yet.

New to this but live in Australia but return home UK every year where I have a Freelander 2 which doesn't get alot of use.
I have so many electrical problems but slowly resolving.
Had starting problems - Battery replaced
Have still got central locking problems and on here at the moment to fix tailgate and fuel cap fuse issue but will find the right thread to post on.

Just a welcome message from me but have been dealing with faults so hopefully we can help each other.

Ello All, Usually to be found on 2 wheels motorbikes and cycles got rid of my last car a few years ago as I never used it, However, needed a second car that would suit a family as well as transporting the dog and me pedallers to the forest and as fast cars arent fast to a biker the mini beast that is the LR2 seemed to fit the bill nicely.
I know a dedicated forum can be very useful so here I am. Looks good.

hi martin, i have a 2013 freelander 2 hse auto, had it for four trouble free years and its my second consecutive freelander,love them .however i seem to have a potentially very expensive warning light lit up . so i have been trawling landyzone for info and seems very sensible to join a forum with such a wide range of knowledge. hope i can resolve my problem,cheers Dialy

Newbie and hopefully the owner of a "slightly used, only driven to church and back, one Lady owned" Freelander 2! I should have an answer before the end of Aug.

I have read quite a lot on this sight. It is information overload! I can honesty say, after all my research, I WANT A FREELANDER 2! This car just ticks all the boxes! I can not wait to post a picture of my new ( slightly old) girl!

So I'm positive and committed. Look, I even joined a forum to show my commitment

A picture of the “old girl”......would that be the Freelander or the Lady who drove it to Church?
