Nearly beat the sat nav to death in the first half hour for not letting me set a destination. Deleted all the way points and got round it that way. Seems ok now |

You will miss the low box and ground clearance but you will like the comfort, handling and fuel consumption! Welcome and enjoy |

Bought a Freelander 2 because it felt more car like than a Defender 90. Been off-roading and green laning in it. Just love it. |

Hi everyone. After several years wanting a F2, and previously owning three F1's and a D2, we've finally taken the plunge and collect our first F2 next week. A 2010 TD4-e GS Manual.

Hi All, just wanted to say thanks for this forum - I've been thinking a long while about getting the Freelander 2.Always loved Land Rovers, and we've had a few 110's and a 89 RR in the family, so I do know that LR ownership is often a double edged sword. The FL2 sounds like the most sensible one for me. Ive spotted a 2009 TD4 HSE with 60,000 kms, spotless Stornoway Grey with black leather. Before I take the plunge, I'd just like to know from any of you out on Freel2 of the typical problems or telltales to look for?

Wow - that was quick! pcheaven thanks for the info. I see what you mean about seat wear. Will check out the tailgate brake light. It's an auto, so I suppose the clutch noise wouldn't. No Unusual noises from the rear axle. There was a slightly weird dipping sensation on the rear left side on a short testdrive. I noticed it twice on the same drive - almost like finding a dip in the road surface - only I could not seem to see one in the mirror. Maybe its the soft springs that i'm not used to?
