An integral roof rail - not designed as an afterthought.
Ski hatch.
A much cleverer design of internal space and seat combinations.
LR should have the confidence of their products to offer a much better warranty.
Please do not 'bling' the next design. The Victoria Beckenham publicity may gain new customers but the style implication will loose more loyal and future customers. If customers wish to 'bling' their car let them do it with add on extras. Just please give us good 'honest' design.

A deeper boot not so high off floor. If this means putting spare wheel back on a boot door like freelander 1 then thats fine.

Full size spare as standard.

Rear glass opening, like freelander 1. (really miss that for loading or if have to leave dog in car).

Sat Nav that works.

Seat belt sensor that can be turned off whilst off road and automatically turns off in reverse.

Bottle holders in the doors.

Selected gear displayed on cluster for manual gearbox.(sometimes I end up changing gear just to find out which gear i'm in)

Sort out the gear box ratios, i'm for ever changing up and down gear and why does it request 6th at 50mph!

In no particular order.

Slightly longer boot
Lower boot floor (may involve 'space saver' wheel/tyre)
Adaptive HID headlamps
LED interior & exterior lamps (no excessive fairy lights, though)
Wider range of Terrain Response settings
Centre diff lock
No electronic handbrake
5 year warranty
Reliable park sensors
TDV6 engine option
'Crawler' 1st gear or 2 speed transfer gearbox.
Intermittent wiper setting (auto setting is annoying)
No keyless entry (not secure enough, yet)
TomTom satnav integrated (not a fan of the Navtec)
USB/iPod socket for music
Multi-use of sat-nav screen (DAB radio, heating etc)
Similar body shape (nothing wrong with the style) Poke it, Poke it, make it do it again!!

Oh please no. I think the FL2 looks much nicer without the bulk of the wheel on the rear. FL2 over FL1 any day.

Yup, this would be good though. 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.

Definatly agree with the looks. Spare wheel on back looks worse, but sometimes, for practicality, boot space is more important.

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 Dynamic Auto Fuji White

Seems I want the same as everybody else really, but for what its worth....

Bigger (longer) boot
Touchscreen integrated with trip computer and audio (ipod)
Slightly larger satnav screen.
Ski hatch.
More cubby holes for coins and sunglasses etc.
Rear seat a/c vents adjustable

Otherwise I love my XS. Fuji White MY13 SD4 Dynamic

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Ipanema Sand

I somehow doubt that by this stage JLR are taking much notice of this. Wink But like everyone else, I can't resist venting, so here goes:

Longer boot
Better bluetooth with voice control
Better satnav (Tomtom?)
Lockable glove compartment
Proper hand-level cupholders
Rear window opening
Lower boot lip
Fixed roof rails
Keyless ignition as an option

Please don't change:
overall look
driving experience (command position) and visibility
offroad / snow capability
suspension / ride comfort (I gather from the first post that adjustable dampers are in prospect - Thumbs Up ) Brian

MY11 FL2 SD4 GS
Extras to same spec as XS apart from the Satnav, plus Xenons.
Ipenema Sand, Ebony.

Surely you just need to fasten the seat belt before getting in????? so you are effectively sitting against the fastened seat belt.

You could even claim that the seat belt is in use. Whistle 2002 Honda VFR800
