[quote="taztastic"]Reliability is only an issue for a tiny minority, Land Rover have sold over 350,000 Freelander 2 models, factor in the number of people on here with problems and in % terms, the figure will be very small indeed.

And I could tell you about my 1 year old BMW 320 which had an unplanned version of stop/start by cutting out completely at traffic lights on a regular basis and BMW couldn't fix it. Then there was my MINI (by BMW) which had 2 wiper motors and a new power steering unit in 5 years. Unlike my 23000 mile FL2 which has has nothing go wrong. |

Dear Sparkyfletch, please enlighten - what possible benefit does the keyless thingy bring to you?

Keyless entry can be a pain, I have it on my Evoque & if you do as I do work with it & have it unlocked the car is permantly searching for the key which runs the battery flat.

A service pack similar to BMW - e.g £500 for 3 years servicing- think this type of option may decide what I get next prefer a 'fixed' price .

I think a big selling feature would be a 5 year Warranty without the slippery Korean type get-outs. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice. |

Proper keyless entry would be nice, but in general STOP adding more and more toys just to justify more and more price hikes! In fact, I would gladly trade some of the existing toys for a manual with a proper low range (and an uprated clutch!) - this is a Land Rover, after all. |

Re keyless entry, my last company car before retirement had keyless entry and a powered tailgate.
