Just signed up for a new SE TD4. Pretty excited. Plan to do a fair bit of touring around Australia.

Got my first Freelander last week after owning a Disco and a Range Rover.... Kept both of those for nearly 7 years each, so let's hope the Freelander is as much of a success.

Spent a lot of time digging into the electronics on the P38 range, and interested in what can be done with the FL2. Given the easy availability of interface Harare, I have some interesting projects in mind

Just joined as ordered 'new' 2nd-hand FL2 today

Hi All…….Dave from Suffolk here, I joined a while back and have had my TD4 HSE for 7 weeks now, so thought it was about time I wrote ‘stuff’. I picked this particular car as it was the right combo for me being Stornaway and Alpaca, with a FSH, 43K miles and Xenons.

One of my sons is doing a rolling restoration of an old LWB series III, and after helping him with it a lot thought I’d get a LR product myself. Previous cars have been BMW 5’s, SAAB 9-5’s, Merc C & E Class, Jag XF and a MINI Cooper S among many others over the years. I still have a Triumph Stag I have owned since 1989 that I carried out a full bare metal restoration on, so am no stranger to spanners, but I don’t anticipate having to use them on my FL2 as by all accounts they are pretty reliable.

I’m in the process of sorting my winter wheels and tyres out, maybe ordering some colour coded door handles from Rimmers, have given it a good clean and protection treatment for now, and will contribute to help on the forum wherever I can.

So far so good, it’s very relaxing to drive and nothings dropped off yet

Total newbie to forums and Land Rover so here goes!

Never owned anything bigger than a corolla before so having moved from the South London to a stones throw from the Salisbury plains decided to take a leap and buy myself a proper car! Had it for four months now and love every minute of driving. Soon to book a LRE so hoping to learn how to handle it off road!
