With the power outages in the winter an EV is not the way for her to go, they are fairly common in her .area my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis 2012 HSE SD4 In Orkney Grey now gone, best car ever. |

A standard 230v 10amp outlet, if you have your car charging overnight for 10 hours, that's 23kWh. A 15 amp circuit is 34.5kWh. Most people's daily commute is pretty low.

There is only one replacement for the Feelander 2; another Freelander 2.

If we had a second garage we would think of buying a spare.

Totally agree, Lightwater, very difficult to find 3 door and when you do they are expensive.

I think most people quite like the same just newer. Like when the wife buys a new washing machine, it’s got a million buttons on it but she still only uses 2 of them. The car is the same, radio stays on greatest hits and never touch half the buttons on the car. I guess if someone is comfortable in a fl2 they want the same again |

Yetis were good, my dad and brother had a few of them, all diesel, dsg automatic 4x4s. Unfortunately they are all getting older now as well, only made for a short time after freelander production ended.

I have to agree with Jimbo. I have yet to spot any car which has the same 'commanding' driving position with the well resolved (and effective) transmission system in this size of car. The extended load bay is very flat, stable, and isn't compromised by a sloping roof. On the face of it only the Kia EV5 seems to fit the size and height of the driving position, but it is an EV and only 2 wheel drive. I will however run my tape measure over the boot and ask for a drive when it is launched in Dec? - I have seen it in the flesh during a pre-launch event and it did impress me. In the meantime I am quite happy and content to drive on in our FL2 Metro as I still enjoy driving it. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011) FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 85k+ miles) (MY2015) Metro in its 12th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History (Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?) |

Agreed! But then I might be a bit biased with myself owning a Freelander 2 and my partner owning a Skoda Yeti. Both brilliant cars in their own ways https://www.youtube.com/@scottandalana4x4
