I have zero interest in EV.
I would like a small SUV with as little electrical interference as possible,petrol or diesel and a conventional automatic gearbox.
Is that too much to ask?

No need for 3 phase electric, most EVs can't even make full use of it.
A standard domestic single phase supply will supply the 32Amps needed to charge at 7.4kW. This adds 20 to 25 miles of range for every hour of charging.

Octopus and Eon both offer excellent low cost EV charging for 6 hours at under 8p per kWh, which means a full battery for less than a gallon of petrol.

A standard 230v 10amp outlet, if you have your car charging overnight for 10 hours, that's 23kWh. A 15 amp circuit is 34.5kWh. Most people's daily commute is pretty low.

If a bit short on 230v circuits in the home, just get an additional circuit installed. Or a bit bigger like a 20 amp circuit for a stove, that would give you 46kWh over 10 hours.

In Sydney we have noticed more of these small boxes, about a cubic foot, popping up along the streets. They are boosters for voltage in that very local area.

We are fairly close to a substation & our voltage hovers around 248 volts according to my RMS Meter. The Standard for 230v is + 10% to – 6%, at least in Australia. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
