Lets get back to basics, the past is in the past, and now we are going to leave the EU, and presently it is what it is.

You are the most ardent Brexiter I know, so I am genuinely interested in what did you intend to happen once we left the EU.
Who, or what are the winners and who are the losers.
A clue to why I am asking is Liam Fox is my MP and he promised us trade deals. Well, we are over 2 years down the line and I see few have been achieved and not as on good a set of terms as the EU. Please tell me if I am mistaken and you know of any.

My Margaret Thatcher quote of the day
“I’ve got a woman’s ability to stick to a job and get on with it when everyone else walks off and leaves it.”

You can see who PM May modelled herself on. It's a pity that Boris did not have the same stickability and develop and carry out his plan.

My Harold Wilson Quote of the day
From now the pound abroad is worth 14 per cent or so less in terms of other currencies. It does not mean, of course, that the pound here in Britain, in your pocket or purse or in your bank, has been devalued.

PS looking on the bright side, Fujitsu are finding it 20% easier to afford my pension, and now with the return of Honda the Japanese economy should get better.

My view is that it's not Brexit, but the lack of a plan and preparation, that is helping these firms decide to move to other parts. It can't be cost because of the 20% devaluation we have suffered. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Just thinking. I wouldn't like to be the purchaser of a new Honda Civic built on the Swindon production line today.

Just be careful what you touch and where you sit. (small bottle of hand disinfectant, and a plastic seat cover, will probably be supplied with the car) FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Oh Yorky, you are funny! Those notes are hilarious, how much of your afternoon was spent trawling Google images looking for them? Still, nice to see that you aren't bitter and twisted all these years after the great Maggie's death.....to show my token of appreciation, here is a little picture for you to think about......it's called Economics by that bastion of the left, the one and only Diane Abbot....personally I thought this just as hilarious as your post. Very Happy

You assume much! I don't recall having a discussion with you about it, but seeing as you asked so nicely....

As far as I am concerned, it doesn't affect my business whatsoever, and I will continue to trade with the rest of the world. Hell, I might even increase my prices for anyone in Europe who wants to do business with me - I have never relied on them from a turnover perspective, and prefer to do business outside the corrupt cartel that you clearly worship. Currently, my business is set up so that my Shenzen distributors deal with the EU, so I don't have to! More GP for me, minus the bureaucracy and headache of trying to line Juncker and Co's pockets further.

So I'm alright Jack! Laughing

There...spoken like a true Tory Capitalist! Are you happy now? God bless Maggie Rolling with laughter (ridicule away, you know that I'm right!)

It is a pity that nobody on here has written a word about the true cost of trading under WTO tarrifs and the implications of so much stuff that goes back and forth between the UK and mainland EU; it's an intersting little equation if you like to do the sums to find out just how much it will put on the price of goods -just one of the many costs of Brexit we face.

and don't forget that the £ dropped about 15% from about $1.5 to $1.2 just after the referendum and has now stabilised at around $1.3 which goes some way to explaining why the price of fuel is about the same as it was then even though the oil price has nearly halved. I was lucky that most of my investments were in the US and I have kept them there. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
