Ian

I wasn't aware that I had called anybody "names" - where do you think you are, the school playground?

It's not me that's foaming at the mouth about Tories, or Brexit now is it?

I'm a plain speaking Yorkshireman, I say what I like, and I like what I bloody well say. Nobody gets away with telling me what to do or how to think without some form of response from me - yet all I have seen you and one or two others do since joining this forum is subliminally make out that anybody with a different viewpoint to you is somehow thick or stupid. Perhaps you should put your Guardian down once in a while and accept that not everyone is as brainwashed in this country as others, and I, like many, still have all my own faculties, and make decisions based on overall pro's and cons. I made my decision to vote for Brexit for the right reason for me and mine, not for the woolly lib-tards to continually try and drag this country into a warped form of communism at my expense.

If your flight costs to Canada have crept up, then increase your prices and earnings to cover them. It's what JLR (and others) do every March to cover increases in parts and production costs, and nobody bats an eyelid. Stop worrying about an event that hasn't even happened yet, and embrace free enterprise!

Or remain bitter and twisted, and blame Thatcher for everything like others do.

Unconfirmed at this stage.

And in any event, why wouldn't they move it back to Japan? When I worked for Mitsubishi Electric many years ago, the entire European operation was run at a loss, as they, like every other corporation, would far rather pay tax to their own government than anyone else's. Who can blame them? That's business!

I have a friend who works for Skoda, VAG have already increased their import tax on cars to the UK. Could be just an excuse to increase prices generally though.

According to the BBC guy it could be due to the recent trade deal between the EU and Japan which means that Honda have no incentive now to have a base in the EU due to big reduction in import tariffs. Unintended consequences? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

A possible permutation, most certainly. All that that would confirm to anyone with an ounce of commercial acumen is that the EU is not just the (unelected) bully that already we know that it is, but one that would stab its own (soon-to-be-past) and present member states in the back for its own self gratification.

But it's safer to remain onside with the school bully isn't it? Isn't it??

I'm not telling you to do anything, am I?

You posed a rhetorical question in the off-topic section of a public forum....what were you expecting? Silence? Or opinion(s)?

Really ? The problem is that Thatchers Children borrow more year on year as the chart clearly shows and then try to blame others. They are actually fiscally illiterate and blatant liars.

Don't include me in that - I have never borrowed anything in my life, other than a small mortgage in 1989 which was redeemed early (inside 4 years).

I think that you will find that the majority of DEBT is as a result of Bliar's children....just like himself, take take take...somebody else will pay.....(like the taxpayer)...prizes for all.....lets blow the lot on diversity and vanity, and then blame the tories when they inherit the biggest deficit in history....oh, and Maggie...mustn't forget Maggie, must we?

There are statistics, lies.....and Socialism! Enough said on that front Rolling with laughter

4 years ! Rolling with laughter I cleared mine in half that time in 1981 when interest rates were over 13% as a socialist and had a second house also paid for in the next 3 years Whistle

Then the Tory leeches turned up masquerading as divorce solicitors, now lets talk about abusing other peoples money !

In the end you all enjoy what you have as you will be just as dead as I will be at some point. As a young individual climbing and exploring around the World with no assets or responsibilities I was probably at my happiest.

Its what you do with money that counts - not counting it Rolling Eyes FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Thats just it - I don't! Its just money after all, and I plan to bow out with as little as possible... If I did care about it, I would probably be leasing all manner of vehicles through the business, and flaunting it like others tend to, but I am quite happy with my lot in life,I happily pootle about in my old Freelander, it owes me nothing, and money, whilst nice to have some in the bank, has never been a motivator or guiding force for me. Guess thats why I never became a Yuppie in the mid 80's....was far more interested in having a few beers on a Friday night with normal people than dining at La Gavroche like all the city boys at the time were.

As the old adage goes....nobody ever had money problems until they had money!

Honda: @RobertBuckland (MP for Swindon)

I have this morning already spoken to the Business Secretary & Honda. They are both clear that this is based on global trends and not Brexit, as all European market production will consolidate in Japan in 2021.

Expect more manufacturers to follow suit......(still, we can always blame Brexit!)

Example: Mercedes F1 Team Statement: "Brexit will affect our performance next season."

You couldn't make it up!!

and had we remained we would have influenced the new Japan EU trade agreement. We should include Singapore in there as well as obviously Brexiteer Dyson would not be moving his UK HQ there had there not been a new EU trade agreement while we were all asleep at the wheel.

Meanwhile you can get a new blue passport that looks exactly like the old one now to be made in France Whistle FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Robert Buckland gives a very good explanation of his views earlier this year.

As most of you will be aware, I campaigned hard to remain within the European Union, but I feel strongly about the need to uphold the result of the referendum. It cannot be ignored An overwhelming number of MPs voted for it in Parliament, and in the 2017 General Election, both the main parties stood on a platform of delivering Brexit and received the vast majority of votes. It is on that basis that I feel obliged to carry out the wishes of the British people, in accordance with what I set out in my campaign literature here in Swindon South, namely a Brexit that worked for jobs, growth, security and workers rights whilst delivering an end to our membership of the Single Market and the EU Customs Union itself, plus an end to the current jurisdiction of the CJEU.

Some of my correspondents have argued that we should leave with No Deal. With respect to them, I don’t believe that this would be a good outcome for our national security, our work to combat crime or for our Swindon economy.

The shock that would be caused to our economy is not something that I think any of us really want to contemplate. That is why a deal with a transition period is the right way forward. To those who are worried about a continuing role for EU institutions, it is important to make the distinction between the EU Treaties, which we will no longer be bound by, and the specific terms of the Withdrawal Agreement, which as time goes by, will apply less and less.

I feel that this gives a balanced view of the troubles that might be facing us. If we remain calm and don't shout at each other I am sure we can avoid the extremists and muddle through. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
