Mine does it as well, though not very often.

Might have to pop into the dealer when passing and see what they say, don't want to damage the screen.

I've also got stornoway, but when I'm driving around, I don't see any pattern, see lots of colours, quite a few black and silver ones I suppose, still no white though

Isn't it Pentagon which is also a security film, I wanted to go for this rather than factory fit for security reasons. I will try them as well, and see if I can get a reply.

I was told that warranty work can be dealt with by any dealer, not just the one you bought it from, just in case there is another one near by.

In the handbook it's called the Luggage Cover

Yep, but none of them are email phones apart from the Nokia communicator, which I didn't get on with at all when I tried it in the past, and I'm not sure you can get that model, only its replacement
