I am a new LR2 owner and was reading the manual - which stated the time to the next oil change will show for 5 seconds when the key is in the ignition and the engine isn't started. I pushed my key into the slot and the radio shows the time but nothing on the dash about the next service interval. Can someone tell me hoe to display the service interval?

It will happen automatically, on the bit in between the speedo and rev counter.

Happens about 30 days before (possibly less) to give you some warnging to book it in.

Don't think you can find out how long until then.

I tried the procedure as outlined all I get is a blank screen on the main display and the milage shows up on the Odometer. I have an electronic key. I held down the Odo reset button and inserted my key - which activated the radio - but blank screens. Am I doing something incorrectly?

To alex_pescaru, sorry, didn't see that post, something new for me to try.

To Jaxbeach, when you've put the key, and held the odo reset button, do you then get the the ignition on? like in a normal car with a normal key, turning it one click, in your LR2, you do this by pressing and holding the start button, without pressing the brake/clutch (depending on man or auto).

jaxbeach, please read with attention the procedure.
Again:
- insert the key
- press and hold reset button
- do not depress the brake pedal and hold down the start button a few seconds to switch the ignition on, without starting the car (all this time you still keep the reset button pressed)
- after you switch the ignition on, in a few moments you'll get the blinking "Service" word on display
- when you'll get the "Service" word on display, you can release the reset button
- by short press the reset button you'll cycle through DATE, DIST and END words on display
- if you want to reset "time to service" you'll cycle until DATE is displayed and then press and hold down the reset until RESET word appears
- if you want to reset "distance to service" you'll cycle until DIST is showed and then press and hold down the reset until RESET word appears
- if you just want to find out time and distance until next service or want to exit the service menu, cycle until END is displayed and then press and hold down the reset until you will get out. When you'll get out, on display will be shown the actual values of time and distance. Old ones or newly reset ones.

Not
