Does that apply to the front struts too

I didnt realise how much of a mud trap the rear arch liners are. Considering our FL2 has never been offroaded there was a load of mud on top of the liner. Also quite a bit of surface rust around the shock absorber top mount - same both sides. So out with the waxoyl sprayer.

This may be of some use to someone.

I found the easiest way to re-install the rear struts was to leave the springs compressors on and slide the strut into the knuckle, with the knuckle tilted outwards. It went into the knuckle very easily. Then, with my foot pressing the knuckle down, the strut then just fits under the wheel arch and goes easily up into the turret.

I didnt remove any of the rear knuckle links, only the ARB drop links. Jules

Some people use a chisel or special device to expand the knuckle joint.
I found that after cleaning the pinch bolt hole thread with a tap and inserting a steel plate into the gap, I could use a M12 bolt to expand the knuckle and remove the strut assembly.
