Panic over, I managed to get the panel off and have switched the motor outlets and now all working as expected!

I think I'm getting hit by the same issue right now. Replaced the wiper stalk once with some second hand one, it worked for a month or so, and stopped working again |

The answer is - you can't. They may look similar, but actually they are physically different. Well spent 10$ for salvaged Evoque stalk |
