I took my cable over to the dealers tonight they are going to hard wire mine in behind the dash then i wont need to use the accessory socket. |

How much did they charge to hardwire the cable in? And how are you going to turn the unit on and off |

Yep i've found their reserve service not that great before..... this time it was reserved and there waiting for me!! Banbury store have a few in stock if anyone is on the look out. |

Don't forget you have to go online to get your activation code to set up speed camara alerts on the satnav. |

Savnav now fitted in place hard wired so when i turn ignition off if auto turns off then starts again once engine is switched on best £76 i've spent. |

I wired mine into the power lead that powers the front cigarette lighter; saves going behind the dash. |

There is a fuse box in the passenger footwell, at least one fuse in there should be suitable and convenient? |

If was Marshalls at Peterboro but they passed on the work on to the guys who fitted my parrot bluetooth and roofmount dvd so it was all done at the same time,just make sure you fit it to a accesory socket though as it still need to run at 5.3volts so don't just cut the plug of and wire it to 12volts as you risk it catching fire according to the sony nav forums. |
