Well, ended up that I had two issues.

Firstly, the rear pads were, in fact, binding so that got fixed.

Thanks pab, but I had the handbrake fixed recently and the noise was just the same afterwards. What type of bearing is on the rear wheels/axle? Thanks

I've had two full sets of Wranglers and never really liked them. Changed them for Hankook Dynapro HP RA23 235/65 R17 H (108), Reinforced, in January and rate them highly. Cost was just shy of £450.
