Difficulty engaging first and reverse gear .

My wife sometimes has difficulty engaging first and reverse gear, she says that by removing the key fob from it's dock then re fitting it solves the problem.

I have not experienced this problem myself, I did not think the key fob removal would have any effect in solving the problem.

Has anyone else experienced this intermittent issue?

We rotate the usage of the two fey fobs, both appear to be operating normally regarding door locking etc.

Could the key fob be the cause?

Any suggestions would be appreciated...The vehicle is Freel2 GS TD4 manua lon a 60 (2011) plate.
