United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Santorini Black

Well I bought the same as Chrisuk http://www.focalprice.com/ER0777B/GS1000B_...?source=CJ

An excellent bit of kit @1080p too all for less than £20.00 incl shipping fitted a decent 32gb class 10 card less than £20 again so total package £40! and I can safely say the picture quality is pretty darned good. Enough for what I would need Smile

Cheers Chris for the heads up.... Oh and I managed to suss the menu out in the end. (GONE) FL2 2008 SE (manual) Santorini Black, the expensive one Sad
(LEFT WITH) 300tdi Defender 90 the cold, reliable & sensible one Smile

Hi I fit them myself- takes about half an hour & just a fiddle routing the cable under the roof linning & down the side pillar. Thumbs Up

Is it possible to hide 100% of the cable from unit to fag socket?
Do you have the Smart Power option?
Cheers

I'm still completely at a loss of what camera to buy, would love to be able to find a Uk seller of one that's HD and a good all rounder. Everyone seems to require this extra or that extra, then a memory card and extortionate postage!!

The killer for me is a £150 budget. The only contender is the SmartCamHD but its mounting is huge and not tidy at all. 2013 FL2 - Black Edition Auto

I have just bought a Blackvue 500 model from HISD4U over on Disco 3, he also has some 380 models at £169, I haven't bothered with the smart power part.
I can see this becoming more and mor prevelant then along will come some scum sucking lawyer with his wallet up his Censored claiming inadmissibility as no warning signs where ever displayed.

2011 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Galway Green

Jimski: yeah I'm in a similar place. I buy a lot of gadgets but this field seems quite difficult to get my arms around. Can't even default to going with a big name player 'cause seems none of them are in the space yet.

Found this to be a useful guide to what's out there (US tho)

Hi Jimski
Sorry, looked at the files last night and the smallest one I have is 800mb which will take forever to upload to one of the movie sites.

It took about 10 days and actually came direct from China, even tho I paid that site in US dollars.
All I can say is for sub £40 ( incl store age card) it is as good, as the footage I saw from someone on here with a blackvue or similar (IMHO) in fact my playback did not seem to suffer from the auto white balance issue on that footage neither and at that cost it is throw away if you think it is crap but I think you would be surprised at the pictures.
There is a more expensive version with GPS but could not see any real need for it.

Regards

well DRrpb

Is it possible to hide 100% of the cable from unit to fag socket? yes buried the lead under the dash and under the edge of the centre consul and brought the cable out between the front & rear lighter socket.

Do you have the Smart Power option? The front socket gives me power when I'm driving and the rear socket gives me power when i'm parked in a tesco car park Thumbs Up

Having placed the cable halfway between the two sockets its very neat when i unplug from one & move to the other. Thumbs Up

I have done the same as old geezer, using the two sockets as needed, magic power box is expensive for what it is, Blackvue arrived today and fitted in minutes, very quick to setup, havn't downloaded anything yet but wifi live streaming used to set it up which was quick and picture was excellent.

Hi guys,

Do any of you use one these Car Cameras, I am thinking of getting one as I am off to Lincoln soon for a long weekend soon and with the weather changinging and visability changing I am sure there will be a few nutters on the road, I have read plenty of reviews and tbh I dont want to pay the earth, the reviews I have read on units vary from good to some one else saying there cheap rubish depending on what your looking at.

So any recomendations?
