P0045-19 Fault code / battery supply voltage?

I’m looking into a fault code. Read this in the Workshop manual. I also have fault codes in body control and infotainment module… this would suggest a generator or battery supply voltage fault. The battery is about 3 weeks old and this fault existed with the old one. SO… any idea how I check for generator / battery supply voltage issues??? Thanks!

I think the clue to this message is

The Turbo, Exhaust Gas Recirculation, and Air Circulation Dynamic Test Routine

I had suspected Turbo problems (and fault codes) and the Main Dealer successfully cleared it by running some type of Exercise and Test Procedure of the Turbo System.

Im reading this a wee bit differently from you Ian... but good to sense check...

What I'm interpreting is that if you have this fault... although it relates to the turbo, IF you are having faults with the Body Control module and infotainment module (which I am) THEN the issue might actually be 'generator / battery voltage fault' instead?

So my question is - how do I test for this possibility first to rule it out or not? AND if I can determine no fault with supply voltage, THEN i follow the Turbo, Exhaust Gas Recirculation and Air circulation Dynamic test routine... whatever that is.

Is my logic correct?

Look up Bluetooth battery monitors. Connect the hardware to your car battery, connect to the hardware via Bluetooth and you can monitor live battery voltage and gather historic data on your phone.

I read your post back to front. I thought that you were trying to rule out any turbo relating problems.
Yes you are right that the FL2 is prone to Battery problems and odd messages due to power supply issues during the initialisation phase of the various control units scattered around the car.

Are you sure the car is charging your new battery, it could be something like the Blue Wire

Actually replaced the fuel filter the other week... but didn't know about the blue wire!

Got a 2nd earth strap on order, so will check the blue wire when im fitting that. I guess its the alternator that charges the battery. Any idea wHat is the test to check to see if the alternator is charging the battery at the right level?

Here is an output from the battery monitor I mentioned earlier. You can clearly see the voltage increases to just under 15 volts when the car is running and the voltage drop when it isn’t.

I use a 12v Display similar to this to keep an eye on my FL2's voltage.
