Good to hear you have it sorted......just about to call a Vaillant service engineer to service our boiler here, not farting about with a trusted trader/rated people etc.......going straight to the horses arse  Regards

Short text message from boss of boiler installers to say the Valliant engineer had called him and in turn he's left message for electrician to call to discuss the job. Suggested I speak to electrician myself. Hello, who's the commissioning installer here, who signed the job off?
Any way, the electricians been in touch to say Valliants need him to instal a further wire and he'll be here later. Apologetic?
As for annual service, will certainly go direct to Valliant.
