It's arrived this morning, just need to source the vinyl to change its colour to matt Black or Grey now

But i have seen 10m reflective Orange going cheap on eBay, but I'm thinking that may be a little OTT Tango Orange look, but might be able to get the Freel2 logo from it

Now will it be best to apply the coloured vinyl before cutting the templates out or after Neutral Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I was thinking of doing it after, as the parts will be smaller to handle than a 10 meter roll

Going to order the vinyl today and opting for a Matt Grey so they won't stand out as much on my grey car Cool Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

We use a lot of magnetic signs on vehicles at work, have found them quite adaptable around straight forward curves, there are no real compound curves on the FL2 so would not think it is a problem.

Biggest issue with mag-signs is making sure there is no dust/grit on the paint surface when the signs are applied. If you get any of this crap trapped beneath the mag-signs and there is any amount of movement between the sign and the body work it acts like sandpaper ... so you'd still end up with a heavy detail to carry out Shocked Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!

i thought about the grit

Ideally if they are as planned i can wash, both the car and sheet and apply prior to the trip, but if the trips a long one, wash and dry when there

I think the door panel one will be very secure with them been so flat, but the front wings will be were there is most wind resistance at speed so i will have to investigate those prior top any long journey's Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Well today i have started to get the protection project along a little further, well both doors done on each side

I know it looks like a fridge, but i will be sending them off to have a vinyl covering and some wording put on them this week all been well

I have found the sheeting is quite stiff and doesn't bend round the contours as well as i had hoped, this maybe due to the thickness of the sheeting or the cold weather, so i have stopped at the four doors been done. Confused

I do have a template for a front wing, but the sheeting wasn't following the arches, but that can be a summer project to see if the sheeting becomes more supple with the hotter weather, or i might look out for some thinner stuff Question

Even if i stop were I am (with them coloured), i have a greater protection of the door panels against scratches so it still been worth it Very Happy Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Maybe try some of that radar absorbing paint they use on the stealth planes. Good for speed cameras and radar guns !
