Nokian Weatherproof - Great performance but............

Just taken delivery of 4 Nokian Weatherproof for my FL2. This tyre's attributes are as follows:

1. M + S rated.
2. Winter 'mountain peak' rated.
3. EU Rated 'A' for wet-weather performance.
4. Rated by Nokian as an 'All Season' tyre for all year use.
5. Just won the Auto Express 2015 All Season Tyre Test (9 Sep 15 edition) and, for winter performance, beat many 'pure' winter tyres.

Based on the above, it meets exactly what I have been looking for and only time will tell regarding wear and handling.

(The 'but' is in regards to the tyres long-term - Go to this thread page 7 for details Shocked ) FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green
Evoque SD4 Auto Blue.
FL1 HSE TD4 Manual Black - Gone.
RR Classic V8 EFI - Gone

Im a massive fan of Nokian. Ordered a set as winter wheels for my ford focus. Handling superb in wet and slush. Ice not a problem. Kept putting off changing back to summer wheels and they coped so well in the heat i kept em on all year round. Two years and 18k later still have 5mm+ tread on driven wheels!

Defo getting a set for the freelander once the scorpion zeros have worn out.

Sound good. May I ask how much the set cost you? 2011 SD4 HSE Auto

They look good but don't do 19s. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

It's true that light travels faster than sound, some people look quite intelligent until you hear them speak.

Stop global winging.

HI everyone. First post here. Just ordered 4 of these myself after reading the reviews. Was looking for the new michelin cross climates I think they're called but not available in the bigger sizes yet. Having them delivered to local indy dealer later this week to be fitted so will report back once I've scrubbed them in a little.

Can I ask what size of Nokians you purchased - what do I need for 18" wheels in terms of numbers on the side wall?

I ordered 235 60 `R18 107Vs for my 2008 HSE. They were £104 from a 'tyre leading' online shop including delivery. Local dealer £10 a corner to fit

Warning.......

Hold on ladies and gents if trying to buy from a web outfit called Tyre Leader UK.
Sounds fishy. Taken the money but no order confiirmation, no trace of the order on "My account" , no contact page on the web site other than a loop which takes you nowhere, no evidence that they are not scam site..... better stick with AJS 4 x 4 for your rubber.

I was just curious where he had them as it seems the only registered distributor for these tyres is based in Glasgow..

That's who I used. Order confirmation received. Responded to the contact ticket I placed using the ticket system and now have tracking numbers for DPD couriers. Hopefully four tyres arrive and not phones but all looking ok at the moment.
