Got my Nokian WP today, it is very much evident on the tire that it is missing the rims protection ring.
No review yet as i done only 10 km on them.

Any suggestions for pressure? The guy at the shop put 40 psi.

So far i drove them in the dry and wet and they work well, the only advantage i can feel so far when compared to the Pirelli scorpion zero is that these tires are helping the suspension work to make the ride smoother.

Today I got my second set of Nokian Weatherproof. They are great. I went to Iceland this year and drove many 4x4 roads on lava gravel. After 23000km including Iceland and aprox. 10.000km German Autobahn I had to replace them. They got rather noisy at the end... but other than that, over and over again.

Just ordered 4 of these for my FL2 SD4 HSE Lux.

Bought 4 18" wheels off eBay for £100 and then had them powder coated at £20 each so no issues with 19" rims.

Not sure if I will put the bigger wheels back on in the summer or leave the 18s on.

Will come back and report how they run in a few weeks.

Hi, I see a number of members are and have been using the Nokian Weatherproof tyres for a while now and as
I'm about to order a set, I would like some feedback on Mileage, wear (any cracking?) and has anyone used these
for light off road work?

Thanks in advance, Dave DAVE.

Offroad traction in the snow is great, hardly had wheel spin on 20 cm of snow

Can't fault my Nokian Weatherproofs - super in the wet and on the odd cold morning we have had down 'ere - no snow (yet). No visible wear of any sort.
Much more grip than previous GY Wranglers and GY Efficient Grip in light off road work - the tread pattern seems ideal for mud - of which we have plenty.
I will keep 'em on all year round.

Last 2 weeks was snow all around and this tire is amazing, not because it is good in the snow but because it is a all session tire that is great in the snow, not to much like it out there.

How the hell do you get that sort of mileage on them? I've had a pair on the front of my FL2 for 6000 miles and they're about 1mm off the wear bars. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE

I can see these tyres have had good reviews on the slippery white stuff, but how do they do on the mud?

On a muddy off road trail no issues but inside a muddy field i dont have the confidence to check as all of this type of tires (road biased) can not handle it.

Managed to destroy a Nokian Weatherproof on rock - sidewall sliced - I doubt if even an extreme off road tyre would have survived. Tried Oponeo who are mentioned earlier in this thread. Brill customer service - they phoned me immediately re a typo in my delivery address and tyre came Royal Mail in two days. Will use them again for Nokians, and take memo to self- AVOID sharp rocks....... Rolling Eyes

Bit of longer term feedback - I've had the Nokian Weatherproofs on for just over 2 years now and have covered about 20,000 miles on them. They have been used for the daily commute in UK (so roads that are at best like farm tracks Laughing and some off roading on trails in Portugal. Performance off road was superb - coped well with the loose surfaces and rocky tracks - only got wheelspin a couple of times on very steep loose big stuff.

So far wear is pretty good - rears and Off side front are on about 6mm or so tread - the outside shoulder on the nearside front is getting a bit worn down and is close to the wear bars - but I can kind of live with that as my daily commute takes in several of Milton Keynes' finest roundabouts so the nearside front gets a lot of work to do. They grip well (as expected) and seem reasonably quiet too.

They've also worked very well at keeping the snow away - I will be keeping an eye on the nearside front - not sure if I'll bother swapping wheels round or just change the front tyres sooner rather than later. I often travel with a lot of kit on board and prefer to change tyres sooner rather than later as they are all that keeps you in contact with the road! FL No 1 - 2012 (MY2011) XS manual Firenze Red - Gone

My next set will be Nokian as well, dont see a reason to change.
just came back from 500 km trip on the highway with no stopping and average speed of 160 kmh
very stable tires with minimum noise.

Over 2 years since I started this thread and this weekend was the first time on snow and ice.

Unfortunately, I had to cut through North London on Sunday morning on my way home due to the chaos on the M25 and parts of the North Circular.

Car was unstoppable including going up numerous steep icy hills of compacted snow where there had been no gritting due to cars parked either side.

Car was very sure-footed and the only thing that delayed me was the audis and mercs sliding down the hills and unable to get out of my way due to zero traction Laughing . FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green
