Products recommendations:

Armor All the matt version- i used the normal armor all for years with good result but the dash board was looking a bit too shiny at times, recently i tested armor all matt version and found it to be just about right, it will give you the new plastic look as it came from the manufacturer (no extra gloss).
look for the armor all with the green label

Lexol leather care- i researched about how to maintain lether a while back and found that Lexol leather care is highly recommended by restorers, the kit have a cleaner and lotion, i already used it on my FL2 two times and it is up until now the best kit i used for leather also here it will not make too shiny film on the seats and will give it more original look.

Regarding snow foam applicators, I have been having a quick read up on the process and wondered what is the best method, a pressure washer, a garden hose or a garden sprayer.

I presume there are advantages and disadvantages of all 3 but I have never snow foamed before so was wondering which way to go.

I use a pressure wash with an adapter - actually its a cheap one purchased very recently- Vax VPW4B, I paid £89 delivered for a refurb one.
I am very happy with it, previously I always used top of range Karchers, thought I would try something different, and could always return the VAX if it didnt work out.
It worked out, the main difference between this and a high end Karcher is the quality of the hoses (Karcher hoses are stronger and tangle less), and the noise. the VAX is very high pitched, but its powerful, cheap and works.

I purchased a snow foam applicator with adaptor to fit my pressure washer and tried it out at the weekend using dirtbusters snow foam (coconut flavour) followed by their wash wax shampoo ( also coconut Very Happy ).

When the car was covered in snowfoam it made a few passers by stop & stare.
The shampoo didn't produce as much lather as some Ive used but I am really pleased with the results.

My wife reckons the car looks a very slightly deeper red than before the clean. Don't know whether that's right or not ! LR Freelander 2 2014 metropolis SD4 auto in Loire Blue.

Gave the Fl2 a quick wash today while the weather was nice . Products used were Autosmart shampoo , Sonax brilliant shine detailer and Finishkare Fk#108as for the tyres .

The brilliant shine detail spray really leaves a good level of protection and amazing beading .

what ever happened to these magnetic sheets?

There are coating that you can use

things like Gtechinq C1, Wolfs Chemicals Hard Body, which are basically Ceramic/quartz type coatings, quite impressive to behonest, but used to be quite fiddly to apply

There is a Wolf Chemicals "The Mask" which is a water based spray on coating, designed for been a bumper/bonnet coating to be sprayed on, then you can wash it off and the bug splatters etc

only issue is been water based is if it rains it will rinse off

Or you can make magnetic sheets to fit the doors like me

ignore the reports of them falling off, its all hearsay Laughing Embarassed

!

Whats the coconut part actually supposed to do, shift the dirt better? make the foam stick on longer?
Or just a fad of an idea that hit them on the head?

Coconut has many beneficial properties but I don't think car cleaning is one of them so I guess its a sales gimmick.
It just happens to be a favourite fragrance of mine & It makes my shed smell nicer if nothing else LOL.

Loads of other smells available.

Washed cars again yesterday & to be fair, then do come up with a nice deep shine & the water runs off well. LR Freelander 2 2014 metropolis SD4 auto in Loire Blue.

Had a trip over to pick some cleaning goodies up from near Huddersfield yesterday , I treated myself to a new wash mitt some Dr leather wipes and a bottle of Finishkare fk#425 my favourite quick detailer which I'm going to mix with some of the Sonax Bsd to ease application and removal as its a bit grabby . I mixed some Power Maxxed detailer with Bsd and got some great results and application is a breeze now .
