These one fits!

One obsevation I did... It does not generate any DTC's or limp mode even if I drive without blanking out the EGR maps in the ECU. The longest trip I took was 150Km, this was with standard 160PS, my car does not have DPF.

good find! Is there likely to be any benefit of one over the other? The nissan one looks as though it will be easier (theoretically) to fit. Interesting you are not getting any fault codes, any other noticable changes? eh tu?

The easiest is to use the slide in plate, just remember to use some silicone just to be sure. You do not want a leak there! My car is better than ever in all aspect - fuel consumption, exhaust pollution. I also use friction reducer in the oil. The gearbox (manual), transfer box and diff also got friction reducer (motorsilk.com)
42 miles/Gallon or 6.8L/100Km
There is one downside. If it is very cold you will notice a longer warmup time - because now you do not get warm exhaust into the engine again. My car have an electical PTC heater so it is not a problem (This is original LR 1250Watt) Good luck and post feedback.

I ordered the blanking plate on ebay. Since you said that you don't need to blank out the EGR maps i wanna give it a go.
I just wonder if this also works on my car with dpf?

I think your guess is as good as mine here! You are the first to try this I think. Please post results when you have tried it!

Just remembered this tread and want to ask you guys FL2Printzern, Alex and SigurD if you have any news about blanking?
SigurD does the plate works fine without DTCs or Limp mode?

According to FL2printzern we can fit a blanking plate without generating DTCs or limp mode.
I wonder if Alex could clarify what happens if I fit a blanking plate and it does generate DTCs and limp mode; can you turn off; take out the key block ; take out the blanking plate and limp home clear itself or does it mean a trip to the dealer?
Here's hoping somebody can comment.
.
