Mine has the sensors but nothing sounds when I move around in the car!

Thank you Nick. Pulled down sensor wiggled the wiring, now alarm goes off as soon as I move.

Sorry to hear that mate, nothing worse than dirty marks left after a dealer visit.

We have 07 HSE with sunroof both volumetric and perimetric alarm systems, volumetric sensors between sunroofs. I saw the alarm sounder under the plastic wind deflector and perimetric system works fine but when I tried to check volumetric it did not work. Had some thoughts that something wrong until I found this topic.

Thanks npinks for the information on the alarm, just removed sensors, couldn't see anything wrong with the wires so unplugged the small plug to the sensors and replugged it back in and now its works as it should.
It must had been a poor connection in the plug housing. PS Hope this helps other with this problem.

Well well, would you Adam and believe it!

I've got the sensor and the sounder but it doesn't work. So i've just nipped outside and removed the sensor from the roof lining (clean hands). Tried my Fluke Scopemeter across the terminals and all seemed fine. Removed the connector and replaced it and bingo, it works. Tried it several times.

Need to study the pin-outs and functionallity of the alarm ECU to understand why. It's possible that the sensor has been reset, but it's a pure guess.

Short of it is, has our site moderator found the solution to our failing volumetric alarm?

Taz, do a few swipes on your alloys before the sensor taken off, then youll have the same marks as me on the headlining, dealers have been informed and I'll pop it into them to sort when passing, another excuse for some Hargen Daz icecream Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
