Only F32 (20 Amps) from the engine bay is the one involved with FFBH.

As for diagnostics, you can use LR diagnostic equipment or equivalents from after market.

Or you can build yourself an interface, from an old K-Line interface and connect it to the pin6 (X2-6 connector pin) of the FFBH module, and use Webasto Thermotest program.
That wire from pin 6 is passing through a connector just above the passengers' feet fuse box.

LE: You can contact the user FL2Printzern as it quite close to you (Honefoss) and he has a lot of experience with diagnostics.

Hi Alex, thank you for your detailed reply..
First I will check for obvious wire faults, but probably leave it to an independent shop. This types of repairs are a bit beyond me. Have one right next to my workplace.. I had the underside of the car steamed, dried, ground and sprayed with lanolin. I know they do the cavities as well, I hope they know the FL2 has a unit on the right side. That oil is sticky as hell..

If im remembering right it was working in may when I bought the car (had it up at the cabin and it was 3C in the morning, the engine got warm really quick)

Result!! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Bow down

Updated the CCF, eventually found the plug for the T91 Telestart, plugged it in, paired the remote and it worked first time! Very Happy Very Happy

If you have the blue/white wire in both sides of the plug behind the glove box, the other end is in the boot behind the 12v socket.

Thanks chocolademan. Im still looking at getting either the 1533 or T91.
Could anyone advise if its the exact same wiring instalation for either of these?

I found this:

https://www.freel2.com/gallery/albums/user...atures.pdf

but this only mentions Telestart..

Also, I mentioned before there is something wrong with my Webasto or the wiring. The strange thing is the 20 A fuse on EJB keeps blowing, but the engine doesnt have to be on for it to blow. the engine can be off, with only the battery connected the fuse blows at once. I find this really weird Neutral

Its a different plug for the T91 and 1533, but both use 12v and the W bus.

The link you refer to is for cars without the wiring and a LR bulletin for the mounting of Telestart. As Alex mentioned earlier, if you have the blue white cable in both sides of the plug, you will have the wiring in the boot.

If you want to install the timer, then you don't have an antenna. The W bus can connected to at the same place

After visiting the lad that wrote the above post, bought the bas remote webasto controller from him and installed it.
strange enough it did not work. I had enabeled this function with sdd a year ago, so this should be plug and play but no. we heard the combustion fan engage at low speed @first then full blast and cool down. This is a 2009 model. It has the Wiring pressent behind the trim left side in the rear. We connected up the TTW to check for whats goin on. but did not see any changes when commanding to run the heater. We closed up and I drove home.
I did try it on a 2008 year, but this did not have the wiring present in the boot. So behind the glowebox I went and fond the connector pin 24. connected the wire to the TTW software and I could communicate with it, but not start it.
Fired up sdd and enabled Telestart. First confirmation was telestart is enabled, a few more software updates for the fbh and the engine ecu?? anyway it said ok, connectin up the TTW again, I could connect to the webasto, issued the start command and nothing happent. found the Protocol log and there it was.. NACK Access denied. BALLS!!!!

I tried again with the other freelander by starting it with the remote, the tick tick tick started and the combustion fan kicked in and when in to cooldown mode. No faults stored in the webasto..

Heeelp.. I got 4 dead glowplugs and now the car will not start.. I need that webasto to start in parking mode. What am i doing wrong???

Thanx to Alex I maned up and went outside to try and enable telestart..
The car is parked outside and its a non starter due to dead glowplugs. attached a good power supply and connected all up Clicked on Add telestart and of we went..

This must be the part of the CCF changing routine :

And its done :

and then set the ign switch to off.

And it looks at the AHCM files:

Download Job Started :

Click image to enlarge

And This greets me (sorry for bad pic. my hads where freezing) :

Carrying on with the next Job with the engine module:

Click image to enlarge

So far so good.. no other error messages.. Then This little Censored comes up :

Click image to enlarge

This can only end with one ending.. a Blank/Bricked Engine ECU.

So I went back to Session and re ran the scan module, and i was 100% correct.. the PowertrainControl Module was not present anymore. Looking at the Ipac the temp gauge was all the way up and the red warning led was blinking and traction control was flashing too.

What to do now?????

Entering Service function and run Configure new powertrain control module. I did not take any pictures of this but I needed the codes on all 4 injectors. cause this has to be coded again runing this routine.

When this was done and everyone happy, i ran the add telestart routine again. All went fine this time around.

Then this little message appeared :

Click image to enlarge

The diesel gauge's at 1/2 a tank.. and looking at the faultcodes on the webasto it says car allmost out of fuel..
I cleared the fault but it still will not run..

I havent tried to use Engine: 9G92-12K532-VWA cause this car has DPF..

Now what?? Is it only the software on the engine that is not correct for the telestart to work?

Mr.P

You see... you gained a lot of experience even if some brown moments were in order... Laughing Laughing
The idea is that normally you can't brick so easily an ECU. Thumbs Up

So first time both AHCM and engine ECU have generated errors, right?
And the second time no error on both AHCM and engine, right?

If yes, then the "add telestart" was successful.

That error is generated by the AHCM during the normal engine startup process (even if you don't start the engine) when it's trying to start to help warm up the engine.

Try now to send a hardware reset to the car. (with the SDD or disconnecting power for a while).
And then try to run with the WTT software and see if it still gives you NACKs.
It shouldn't now....

PS: Can you look with a text editor in the AG92-12K532-VBC engine data file and post here what is saying on the description? In order to see if the file is part of the cold country pack?

At the secound time it ran threw the routine just fine. SDD says the routine was successful. But after clearing faults IE crashes.. I do not beleave this has anything to do with telestart not working..

I did a hard reset and connected the WTT, still NACK...

opening the vbf file you asked Alex, All i could see was in the start of the header :

vbf_version = 2.2;

header {
//**********************************************************
//*
//* Volvo Car Corporation
//*
//* This file is generated by VBF CONVERT ver. 3.2.0
//*
//* DO NOT EDIT !
//*
//**********************************************************

// Volvo software part number
sw_part_number = "AG92-12K532-VBC";

// Volvo software part type: Data or Parameters
sw_part_type = DATA;

// Network: CAN high speed main network
network = CAN_HS;

// main node with ECU description: PCM - Powertrain Control Module [0x7E0]
ecu_address = 0x7E0;

// 11-bit CAN identifiers
frame_format = CAN_STANDARD;

// Erase information
// start, length
erase = { { 0x00180000, 0x00080000 }
};

// Blocks sorted
// Blocks grouped
// Blocks: 1
// Bytes: 512000

file_checksum = 0x824C5FF5;

No Description for that file that SDD selects for the freelander.. and this one has DPF MY2010
I do not know what outcome would be if i flash the ecu with software without DPF when the car has it from factory

Yes, indeed, it doesn't have the description section, like mine has...

Is is possible to fill up the diesel tank in order for the AHCM to see full tank?
You know, there was a few cases of wrong fuel indicator value...

Or any chance to warm up the car somehow in order to start the engine?
Because the other day it also said to me "low fuel not able to start" stuff (indeed it was low) but after starting the engine, after a minute or so, webasto started...

LE: what do you try to start through the WTT? The stationary heater or the auxiliary heater? Or for both it says NACK?
LE2: are there any errors on webasto? but readed through WTT, not SDD... or try to erase the errors through WTT.

Perhaps Ill have to try starting it, its been way to cold for it to start, not a hint of it wanting to start at all.
With my booster charger connected pushing 150Ah's and 18v it refuses to start.
My thought exactly about the issue with the fuel sender.. It has been filled up prior to this.

Ill try and do another hard reset of the vehicle and see if that solves the issue.
I try and start it with WTT. last time i tried it start it as parking heater No faults or any feedback and dead silence . start it as suplementary heater I get NACK. Suddenly fault appears car allmost out of fuel.. I do wounder if the engine ecu sends shares the fuel level wih the webasto, and with the telestart activated and engine module updated it does not.. im not sure..
clear fault with WTT and still nothing happens

You'll always get NACK starting as supplementary heater. The engine will start it as supplementary heater.
You should only try to start it as parking heater.
See that it checks the fuel level AND battery's voltage.
Anything below 11V or above 15V and it won't start...

Looks like something have changed.. I can see now that there is light on the Hevac when the fbh is running.. it does smel diesel fumes.. Ill give it 10mins before i go out and check again..

------- 10mins later ---------

When i try and start the webasto, i hear the diesel pump ticking for a while.. prime routine.. this ends and a low breez of cold air from the exaust. then it enters purge mode, full blast of cold air until it comes to a complete stop.

Mr.P
