Took a deep breath and swapped original dipped and main beam bulbs with Osram NU today. Haven't had time to try them yet but expecting them to be significantly better than the rather dim yellow light ...

With no DPF just use the cheapest & not synthetic. Never paid more than £6 per litre sometimes as low as £4 per litre.
