One final note:

When "switching off" the engine it now seems to stop quicker with the new throttle, whilst it didn't "run on" much before it definitely now stops quicker.

If you can't find a big enough washer cut a piece of ally sheet to size and drill a hole through it, re-clamp with the original "nut" - worked on mine.
