Very nice, I loved the pale green version of these. Couldn't afford one when they were new and probably still can't afford one now with the ludicrous prices original Defenders are now making! Enjoyed ...

The pcb within the control unit can degrade due to moisture getting in. Ours had corroded in one area making it non repairable, replacement pcb by autofaultfinder sorted it.

Yep a twin axle is fantastic to tow, so stable and easier to reverse than a small trailer.
The Freelander 2 tows ours effortlessly.
Really like those heritage edition Defenders.

The seat belt trick works with late model Freelanders, maybe all? Ignition on and plug and unplug seat belt something like 9 times, removes the annoying 'bongs'.

Need to have fault codes read which may pinpoint where the issue is, eg pump pressure, or control circuit etc.

What wheels are you using at the minute?
Whatever size you have just put a decent set of ATs on and you'll be set for most weather the UK can throw at us.
I've a set of 17s in the garage, planned to ...

The old series LRs, Defenders and early Discoveries all had a drum handbrake which operated on the propshaft. I found this to be a very effective set up but did need to occasionally adjust it to take ...

Have to agree. The EPB is brilliant.
I loathe the drum and shoes within disc setup, always a total PITA to set up and not very efficient.

This is the pipe he's referring to. It is a common failure.
Normally it's the small hose at the throttle body which splits and is easily replaced from above.
