Haha as Ian says it wasnt stuck

I was passenger in the car, and the second time in the mud there was no way without reversing quite a way back (and the Disco's were behind us) to persuade the car out of the ruts, after some tooing and froing it didnt fancy the idea. Possibly as its still on its original tyres.....

Oh and that pic is after the waffle boards were put down and it was being driven out.

Fun day, if it had a little more ground clearance or more aggressive tyres I am sure even through the boggy stuff it would have pulled through

No ropes or winches were used in the production of this Mr. Green

2nd time my mate has done this and its a great day out.....I want a defender or Disco now.....anyone want to buy a Lotus Elise Thumbs Up Shocked

So the moral of this thread is "When you see a Freelander in the mud, don't assume its always stuck, although it probably is and stapped to a Disco being recovered" Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Yup, that was me! Very Happy Very Happy

To be honest, I'm surprised I didn't get "more" stuck really! I had some good spotters and advice! Oh, and the waffle boards were a good hand too!

That shot at the beginning of the thread, I had managed to get onto the grassy sections, only to have the front wheels suddenly sink again, the pic is after the waffle boards had been down and my back end decided to slip into the bog again - but by then I was just hauling my ass out!

Plucky little thing is Freddie... although I think I was being a bit ambitious in the quarry when coming down the steep slope - if only it had more ground clearance! Looked into airbags about a year ago, but would cost way too much to retrofit Sad

Anyhoo, thanks to Ian and the team for a great day! Sadly, Freddie might have to go soon... but might just keep my eyes open for a Defender....! In case of emergency, break dance.
