United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Sumatra Black

Strictly speaking, all wild birds in the UK are 'protected' in so much as it is, quite rightly, illegal to kill without justification. Exceptions exist for a list of species including carrion AND gulls which can be killed under the terms of a licence (not something you apply for), but the justification must be valid. This site is useful for clarification before you go pulling any trigger!

Just to set the record straight, I am very much an animal welfare supporter but accept that there are circumstances where action has to be taken for the greater good. Gulls killing rare species is such a case, gulls crapping on your car isn't.

Hi Beauchoc,
well first thing you need to do is get those birds sorted out. Then you could try a paint restorer,i used a aluminiuem oxide solution from autoglym.Baught from Halfords, this is a much kinder cutting compound than T cut or some others on the market.
If your scratches are only light this will work fine as it starts to remove very fine layers of paint. If you use a cutting compound remember to use a good polish to seal the paintwork after, best of luck Thumbs Up

I was up in Abz last week and parked in Crown Street for all of 15 mins. When I left the car it was nice and shiney, with a gloss finish. When I got back to it, it was totally covered in flying rat sh!t Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Much to the amusement of my family who could see my pain Rolling Eyes

As far as the rubbers, without seeing it, it would look to me to be replacement. Or you could try layering Black Wow on it over a few days.

Try living here.

In my opinion if the motor is dirty it doesn't get hit much.

But as soon as I wash it......it gets covered Rolling Eyes

My missus' VW got hit 2 hours after I washed it last week and one s Censored t went from the roof covering the entire drivers window and half the door!
