An integral roof rail - not designed as an afterthought.
Ski hatch.
A much cleverer design of internal space and seat combinations.
LR should have the confidence of their products to offer a much better warranty.
Please do not 'bling' the next design. The Victoria Beckenham publicity may gain new customers but the style implication will loose more loyal and future customers. If customers wish to 'bling' their car let them do it with add on extras. Just please give us good 'honest' design.

Cheaper roof rails and easier fit.
Store present location on Sat Nav. (cant find how to store an address perhaps it's "Memory")
Heater/aircon controls brought higher up, present ones are far to low down, this is a Health & Safety hazard as you have to tilt your head down to see them.
Rear Seats should fold flat to give a level floor plan.
Cheaper Remote control that lasts longer than 3 years.
4 to 5 hundred pounds for Snow chains/spyder or whatever you want to call them, come on get real. Offset your Carbon emissions by boycotting Baked Beans and all Green Vegitables.

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Narvik Black

A cubby box with arm rest or arm rests as standard
USB port for your iPhone / memory stick
Integrated SatNav / Radio / control centre ala iDrive or mmi
No more green screen clocks and dials
Springs - no air suspension that will break
A slightly larger boot with fold flat seats
Better looking roof bars (not that I want them anyway)
A hidden towbar (keep CG happy)
Soft leather steering wheel as standard
Better choice of engines (small / large diesel & a petrol)
LED mirror puddles and number plate lights

What I want to keep

Wider rear bench that you can comfortably get 3 in
Silky smooth ride
the Land Rover utilitarian feel
The excellent seats
The panoramic sunroof
The general exterior dimensions

Oh and dont make it into a Disco - thats what the disco is there for! Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints

I would like to see a modification of the rear screen wiper; so that you can either use it contiuously, or at variable speeds. The current set up in foul weather can leave the rear widow obstructed, unless you use the washer facility regularly.

Would the fitting of rear mudflaps improve the problem of the rear screen fouling up all the time ?

On the rear wiper. if you turn it on it will do a few wipes and then go intermittent, not sure if that helps Question
And no, it won't make any differance if you fit the mudflaps Thumbs Up

There never seems to be much thought given to hot climates; even as optional extras. Small children and dogs will die if left in a car here for more than a few minutes, yet there is no safety mechanism for hot air to escape. Temperatures inside a vehicle go way beyond those outside. There are a few aftermarket items to help deal with the heat, but few of them have been done very well. Drilling holes in the roof for vents is a bit extreme (and expensive) yet if it were done on a production line it would be quite simple. A basic sliding cover would prevent cold air coming in when necessary. Solar powered air extractors would be awesome. So too, would be cooling systems for seats, particularly the front ones (eg: same concept as the cool vests that racing car drivers wear). In-built sliding window shades (white) to deflect heat and a "turn off all beeps" button for camping trips when you are trying to be considerate to your fellow campers early in the morning or late at night!

Can we please have sun shades that are horizontal when folded down. As it is, if the sun is low and is slightly to one side or the other you end up having to block out part of the road because the other side of the shade slants down to cover your view. Stupid.

Adjustable opening height on rear hatch door would be nice. I found that the rear hatch door opens too high when the car is parked in my garage and the hatch door hits Evil or Very Mad the garage door (tilt-a-door type) over. I have to attach a restraining strap to limit the opening height.

Australia 2007 Freelander 2 i6 SE Auto Tambora Flame

Seconded. I have to slowly open the boot to make sure it doesn't bang the garage door. I am going to go and grab some pool-noodles this week and zippy-tie them to the door. This will also help if anyone tried to open the door while it is closed.

Brilliant suggestion Smile 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.
