If anyone knows how the swinging wing mirrors connect to their moter's - please stand up Thumbs Up

I would imagine if it is a direct contact "moving one with one finger" may damage the motor, particully if is frozen Shocked
If the mirror is connected by a slip belt, CG may well have a point, but I wont try my luck Wink 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

He said they can be disabled with a software change using "testbook", and that delaers should do this FOC. Thumbs Up

I've started manually folding them before switching off, and when you open the car in the morning they remain folded until you manually unfold them.

this gives you time to defrost the car and the mirrors for use.

I think what normally happens is that you open the car in the morning and forget that the mirrors are iced up until it's too late !!

at least folding them at night gives you a chance.

I've just got my '57' and the mirrors have been set up so that I have to press the 'unlock' button on the remote before pressing the 'lock' button if I want the door mirrors to fold. Just pressing the 'lock' button leaves the mirrors in the out position.

Seems this setup would be usefull in overcoming the 'frozen' mirror issue! Thumbs Up
