Disabling folding door mirrors ?

Is it possible to temporary disable the folding door mirrors ? I watched them this morning try and unfold when frozen solid..... It didnt sound pretty. In the end I had to leave them in until the de-icer had thored them out.
In all fairness a permanent disable would be ok as this feature doesnt really help me - besides they're so fat when folded in they nearly hang out as far anyway !
So lets get em disabled- one less thing to go wrong when the warrantys out. Thumbs Up

Cheers guys

Shocked I am surprised: my mirrors fold every time I lock the car and so far (even at minus 16°C) they have not seized solid. Interesting.

Another good point about the Auto Fold on the mirrors is you know when you have locked the car. That moment when you lock the car but afterwards you think "did I lock it?" a glance at the mirrors and you know. Smile

A better item to change would the auto wiper mode so that when SWMBO goes out and fails to turn off the auto wipers so the following morning when the frost is on the screen they do not try to wipe it off.

If you fold them in using the mirror switched they will not fold back out again untill done so by the same technique.
In effect you will disable the auto fold untill your ready to use it. Thumbs Up

Thanks boxer but I want them stuck out rather than in Laughing

athelstan: What happens is I get a frozen 'V' shape wedge stuck behind them when they are closed and they wont come out without a huge struggle or me removing the ice. Thumbs Up
