Didn't anyone else have an Escort Van with mattress in the back, with a graphic equalizer for show. It was used to pick up the more discerning young ladies in our part of Essex. |

No, no ford Escort with a matress. I was into bikes, went down well with some of the females at that time. You know the ones that would ask for a pint, a meat pie and fart better than any man. |

It's funny when you think back. i mean, I've hardly given the old cars any thourght. The cost of them all, the reliability. We have moved on from those days thankfully. It used to be a novilty having a heated rear screen! |

I've only had one of my own cars which I've bought recently, but lucky enough to 'borrow' one of my parents as and when!

"YES" I DID. for about 5 years. Hung my TY250 on the back of it (traveled everywhere in it) Covered Approx 80,000 miles in it and only ever serviced and mot'ed it. Sold it with 240,000 miles on the clock for £750 less than I paid for it. Those were the days. When the vans rocking don't come Knocking. |
