Wow, some skeltons coming out of the cupboard.

Okay, I am going back to childhood now,

Early 1960's - Morris Minor Reg. No. 5JMN - in airforce blue, when everyone had similar numbers and purchased from Hursts in London. They should be giving me a loyalty bonus!

Early 1970's Austin Cambridge Estate in a lovely maroon colour

Same period - Ford Cortina in canary yellow

Mid 1970's Vauxhall Viva in blue with a vinyl black roof

Early 80's - Renault 5 in red

Likewise - Austin Metro in green

England 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 Sport Auto Santorini Black

Didn't anyone else have an Escort Van with mattress in the back, with a graphic equalizer for show. It was used to pick up the more discerning young ladies in our part of Essex. Whistle

Too old to remember the years only remember the grief some of the motors gave me !

Ford Anglia - 1200cc
Morris 1100 - the worst car I have owned.
Citroen 2CV - it would go anywhere in the snow, amazing little car.
Lada - 1400cc ? Rolling Eyes
Pugeot 105 - even smaller than the 2cv but nowwhere near as interesting.
Saab 99 - built like a brick ****house, didn't like passing a garage without calling in for a top up !
Fiat Miraffiori 1600CC tc - went like **** of a stick even towing a trailer tent.
Fiat Reggata - or should I say regretta
Ford Fiesta 1100cc - boring but nice metalic green colour
Ford Fiesta XR2 - red & not boring
VW Golf MK3 Driver - One of my favourites
VW Golf Mk3 2.0l Estate - quiker than the previous car but a bit bland
Honda HRV - was never comfortable driving this I still don't know why
Freelander 1 petrol, 3 door - bought on a whim I was looking for golf diesel at the time !
Audi A3 1.9d Sport - Realy enjoyed driving this.
Ford Focus 2.0 TDI Titanium - As good to drive as the Audi and just as quick
Freelander 2 SE - So far so good a smile on my face evertime I get in Smile What if there were no hypothetical situations?

No, no ford Escort with a matress. I was into bikes, went down well with some of the females at that time. You know the ones that would ask for a pint, a meat pie and fart better than any man. Laughing

It's funny when you think back. i mean, I've hardly given the old cars any thourght. The cost of them all, the reliability. We have moved on from those days thankfully. It used to be a novilty having a heated rear screen!

"YES" I DID. for about 5 years. Hung my TY250 on the back of it (traveled everywhere in it) Covered Approx 80,000 miles in it and only ever serviced and mot'ed it. Sold it with 240,000 miles on the clock for £750 less than I paid for it. Those were the days. When the vans rocking don't come Knocking.
