Keep on towing

Having read the Auto Express report , I dont think the reference to avoiding SUV's with tow bars was solely aimed at the FL2. The current FL is the third I have towed with and never had a problem proven to be related to towing. Have seen other references namely to poor rear tyre wear attributable to towing can I offer - First FL sold with 33k on clock and rear tyres still 4mm plus. Second FL sold to non franchaise dealer who ask for towbar to be left on as it underpinned the vehicles credentials.
If Land Rover cannot make a vehicle capable of towing then who can.

If I could make a suggestion it would be - go for an auto if you want to tow. You may use a few more mpg's but the whole experience is far more relaxed.
Hope this helps
