2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Biscay Blue
Headphone Port Delete

Hiya, I'm looking to remove the headphone ports in the back seats, ideally I just want a blank trim piece to replace them with. Has anyone else done this/know if this part exists? So far my googling has got me nowhere.

Thanks

I'm guessing the original poster means removing these...

I guess there are blanking plates, or a different part which replaces the one with cutouts?

Thank You, I must admit that I did not know that this feature existed.

Its listed on page 38 of this brochure.

Just go to a wrecker. It will be the only place these days to get a blank plate. Probably will have to buy the whole centre console.

This is off my 2013 car (back view), it just pops out using some trim panel tools (a butter knife will work), part number DH52-19A164-A whether it fits the earlier model I don't know. Most likely not!

It looks taller than the brochure photo, 124mm total height, about 118mm visible height, width at bottom 174mm, width at tangent 9mm from the top is 148mm. The clip in the centre sticks out 32mm. The 6 clips around the edge 7mm high.

Failing that, pop the switches out, & knock up 2 blanks & glue or clip in place depending on skill level. If it still looks a mess, cover the whole thing with a sheet of plastic or leatherette.

Looking at the die flash lines, it is quite a complex die.

The die calendar starts in 2011 & the first prints were April 2012.

Edit: LR040767 Plate Blanking. Showing up for the younger Freelander. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Ideally you need to find someone breaking an S or GS model. However, some S and GS models were specced by their 1st owners to have this function so make sure you let the breaker know it's a blank one you need.
