The 3.2L petrol 6 cylinder is a very different engine from the 4 cylinder diesel TD4/SD4 engines. Jules

2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Lago Grey

I know, I've got one Smile

(but I previously had the 2.2 diesel HSE).

The transmission is identical as far as I can tell. I'm just trying to figure out why there would be a different level of oil in the transmission (assuming it's the length of the 'indicating pipe' that is different).

Sorry I forgot that the 3.2L used the same autobox. So yes , good question - to which I have no answer.

Ive never taken much notice of the i6 as Ive always had diesels. Jules
