Yes, all FL2 front pads and discs are the same apart from the i6, LR Parts and Advance Factors (the suppliers of my previous and recent sets) both say they are the same, not to mention all the others I looked at.

The rears changed from VIN DH000001 when the EPB was fitted with the removal of the integral brake shoes, but the fronts are the same.

I think you are mistaken, I did my research, and asked the suppliers about the correct parts when I got the first set 18 months ago, and anywhere you look there's only one part number for TD4 and SD4 FL2 front discs and pads, could it be that the older pads you had were from a FL1?

Seadog & Jules ….all correct….
The front pads are the same as a lot of Mondeos & C-Max……calipers are even cast “FoMoCo……
My FL2 doing well for brakes…..front & rear discs still original….& not worn out by any means ..after 160 k miles………! Only use them when I have to……… Laughing FL2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto MY 2012— current
D2 TD5 HSE Man MY 1999 470kmls….gone 2014 ….lovely engine..chassis rotten
D1 300TDI Man MY 1996 56kmls….gone 1999…D2 much better
Wife’s FL1 1.8P MY 2001 32kmls …gone 2007…has Mini since.
