handbrake seized x 2!

hi
on my cars MOT last year the handbrake had seized so i paid £120 and got it sorted.
it went in for MOT today and surprise the handbrake had seized AGAIN
ive paid the £120 again but just wondered if theres a 'fix' for it?
its an auto so i tend to leave it in park rather than using the handbrake (yes i realise thats 'the fix' )
but wondered if theres anything else i can do.
Also they said the cables will need changing is this a DIY job? if so any videos?
TIA
Rob

Cables have probably rusted inside through lack of use, not using the handbrake is 100% cause of seizing. If you were to take your driving test today if you did not put your handbrake on when you come to a complete stop you would FAIL, holding it with the foot brake as most drivers do is most dazzling to other drivers behind especially at night.

It is not a difficult job to replace the cables. 2013 FL2 XS.
